input errors

Includes runts, giants, no buffer, CRC, frame, overrun, and ignored counts. Other input-related errors can also cause the input errors count to be increased, and some datagrams may have more than one error; therefore, this sum may not balance with the sum of enumerated input error counts.

Most of the time I see these kinds of errors thanks to a speed/duplex mismatch

I had that very issue today: server set to Auto/Auto, interface set to 100/Full = 1000's of interface and CRC errors and erratic application performance due to frame drops.

Forgive me, not trying to hijack... But if the "last input/output" only shows the last time a packet was process switched, how can you tell the last input/output if it was fast switched? Is there no equivalent?

We usually look for crc errors on wan interface could be a number of things faulty cable, faulty card or it could be an issue with the circuit itself
