Anyone got any holidays or vacations planned soon?

I've passed a few certifications lately relating to my day job, so I'm taking some time off in Portugal next week. A week a chilling in the sun, having a few beers and have sorted out a villa with a BBQ and a pool. Loaded up my Kindle with some fiction and thrown a few Cisco bits and pieces in as well in case motivation strikes.

Countdown is now on to finish work.

I'm going camping on Friday. Taking CCNP ROUTE on Friday morning then heading straight to Virginia Beach. Hopefully with a big smile on my face.

All the best for the ROUTE.

I'm sure you'll have a great start to the holiday!

I'm off to L.A. in a couple of weeks time. Then a little while later we're off to Vegas. Then September time looks like I'll be making my way through Asia on the trip back to England.

Has anyone ever been to Russia?

The wife and kids will be out of town next week so I'll have a stay at/work vacation. We're talking about getting away to a beach without the kids in July and then a road trip to PA (my Pops is there) in August, but nothing is booked.

Speaking of the beach, anybody been to Key West and have suggestions on where to stay?

Just cancelled the hotel I had booked for my bachelor party weekend. Just started a new job and have to take a trip to New Jersey so we'll just end up going out somewhere in the area.

Getting married in Saint Lucia the last week of July. It will be nice to get away for a week and I'm going to try to limit my internet usage to about 0 if I can pull it off.

Nice! I'd love to go to St. Lucia. There's some good rum on that little island. Both Admiral Rodney and Chairman's Reserve are something you should seek out :)

I'm not a big rum drinker but I'll give those two a try. I've heard great things about the island and the Sandals resort as well so I'm really looking forward to it.

You likely haven't been drinking good rum ;)

(Bacardi is not rum, it's swill)

I've always been more of a whiskey/bourbon/beer kind of guy with a little vodka and tequila thrown in for good measure. :D

Sandals are nice resorts, they do take care of you and try their best to keep you busy, I had a blast on my honeymoon at Sandals in Antigua back in 1998.

You're coming just as the weather has turned nasty. Then again, Belgium's weather is pretty similar anyways
