this is when i sure am happy to have shelled out the money for password vault software. a lot easier to only change one site's password instead of them all.

no choice in the matter, when work pays it's free as well though.

I like how the iPhone LinkedIn app update released today lists the changes as "Misc bug fixes and Calendar improvements."

is that a colloquialism??

oh, that's why they clarify KeePass

I was never keen on password keepers,
i..e firefox and ie, I'd never remember my pass when needed outside the environment.
i.e. home vs. work.

maybe it's time to reconsider.
still don't trus the browser builtins.

We uses keePass at work. I've been meaning to convert my encrypted spreadsheet over to it for my personal stuff. It's open source and cross platform, which appeals to me.

I've been considering moving to KeePass and this just pushed me over the edge. networking-forum.com is my first entry.

Thanks for the heads up.

Yes, but you still need a single password to protect / encrypt your KeepAss file. So really you're back to square one?

But then I'll forget it. So instead, I'll write it down somewhere

OR I could use another KeepArse file to keep it secure
Hmmm

Used to keep my stuff in a txt file. Never compromised (that I know of  ).

But still, I switched to gpg..& even every password needs a few characters added in order to work. Thinking maybe use diceware for the passphrase.

I use a .key file and a password that is complicated that I'll never forget :)
