Hi All,

I have been a passive observer of forums for years but this is actually my first post EVER!

I am hoping to setup an office network and I need some guidance as to where to start or where to start looking for the info.

I have aquired a Dell U-Rack with 2 servers (power edge 2650) it also has a ethernet swith/router bar and some power backup. The office has broadband wireless and there is 5 exiting PC's 2 running Win7 and 3 running XP I haven't fired up the server yet but believe it has SOLARIS on it. There is also 3 printers. Obviousely I would like data centrally located and would like to access data from home or out in the field.

I need to get some feedback on what OS to use and whether it is neccasary to change OS on PC stations to make this all work

you can use any OS on the PC stations that you are comfortable with.
