This is probably a simple question for you. I have a WRT54G2 Lynksis router, its got its internal IP address (default gateway) as 192.168.0.1 and all that. Thats fine, but then, when I click on the Status tab, I see that the IP address is 192.168.1.4, as far as I know, this is supposed to be the external address, the address that is shown to the internet. However if I go to whatismyip.org I have a completely different address...is there a reason?

Thank you

Your ISP may be NATing your connection as well. With IPv4 space coming to it's limits alot of ISPs are putting a NAT in before their residental customers to free up even more space for other uses. It hasn't happened here yet, but I understand it is very common in Asia.
