Hello All!

I currently work as a Service Engineer for a small ISP/Telecommunications company. I am pursuing my CCNA (March 2012) and ACTIVELY looking for another job in the Network Engineering field. My professional goals for 2012 are to obtain a CCNA, CCNP (hopefully), and become familiar with Citrix administration. I look forward to absorbing all the wealth of knowledge on this board, and contributing however I can.

Avoid Citrix at all costs. That's what I try to do at work. Nothing but a headache.

Thank you all for the kind welcome.

We use Citrix at work, and I got interested in it when watching our Systems Engineer working in the gui one day. He gave me a walkthrough and peaked the interest even more. Then, I looked at the salary for a Citrix admin with networking experience, and the interest shot thru the roof! But, why do you say to avoid it?

Yes, jobs are still scarce in the metro. It's definitely a 'buyers' market for employers. They're asking for ridiculous cross-trained skillsets on every job opening. (10 years network and systems experience + bilingual + telecom + security + MCSE). It's becoming pretty apparent that I'll have to move sooner or later. I'm going to start applying out of state once I pass the CCNA.
