Yeah that's what I was thinking but the app has the ability to mark the packets itself so didn't know whether to just trust a particular subnet / port or something along those lines.
It's typical Microsoft, I've been reading their 15 page 'QoS deployment guide' today, on one hand they say the product is designed to be able to work without QoS (I think because their codecs are adaptive), on the other hand they say you can configure it to use the DiffServ framework... I suppose I just need to know whether or not it will work properly without QoS... I suspect not.

Hmm, can't say I've ever compared it with QoS disabled compared to enabled. I've always had QoS configured on this platform for Voice as per the QoS SRND and it just 'works'.
