No pics as I don't have a rack cabinet so its a poor show! BUT..

This is more of a reason to post a picture. I remember when I was first building my lab I thought it wasn't good enough unless I had XYZ.

Which as you'll learn later on isn't the case.

Sorry this took an age for me to do work has been a ..... so busy.

My lab is not in use at the moment as I ripped it out of production and put the dodgy ISP router back for the time being until I decide how I am going to build my SIP / VoIP lab!

Below C3550 powering my HP DL140 G3 and Desktop at the moment, I know its underused but will be moved soon into the VoIP / SIP lab and its use cranked up also for CCNA etc, its only temporary.

Aironet currently in basic use - looking for a second 1310 with 1 indoor and 1 outdoor (good for BBQ's and iPhone dock lol) and want to replace the antennas with AIR-ANT2485P-R's. I'm aware of the poor antenna placement, its waiting for its wall mounting bracket.

Random desktop pic:

Rest of the gear, note: Dulux is not part of the lab

Also 2 laptops (boring) and a random cisco 7906G IP phone.... still collecting! :D

Edit to add: You can't beat aironet as for home WLAN, absolutely awesome, never misses a beat.

Smiley, impressive! Since you're located in the same geographical region as I do, mind me asking where you got those 3560's and 2960, and about what price? You can always PM me, or can I PM you?

Those 8 port 3560's are gold. I have used a few of those before. Perfect size core for smaller deployments.

We often use 8 port 3560's as CPE devices. Either that or an 1841/1941 depending on requirements

I bought a extra second-hand 2960 (2960-24TC-L) today for 100 euro @ "marktplaats" (A alternative for Ebay in the Netherlands). I can finally built the CCNP switch lab now :mrgreen:.

The 2960 that I already had was free (I replaced this one at a customer for a 3560, so it was "spare"). I bought the two 3560-8PC's new for ~400 euro each (NFR). The two 1131 were 80 euro second-hand each. The IPS module for the ASA5505 sec+ was the most expensive; 500 euro (NFR) and I still have to get a smartnet for the updates *growl*...

And.. very silent in my lab :) Yeah, I really love my job and a hobby may cost money? :D

Recently moved back into my parents house when I took a new job back in Salt Lake City, UT. My Dad is a pretty avid computer/network enthusiast as well, and he dedicated the whole one side of the basement to a lab area. I added my gear to the mix and this was the result;

Image

Here's the rack;

3725
3640
1760
3640
3550 EMI
3550 EMI
2801

And the other rack;

2610
3524xl-PoE
2950
2501
2501
PIX515
SecureLinx SLC8 Console server
SecureLinx SLC8 Console server
1721
1841

The servers. Dell on left is my server running ESXi, then my Buffalo NAS, and another 2801.
