Yeah. I'm wondering if you bought it for the CCNP or if you had access to it via work.

Read the blog post, CiscoPress gave me a set of the Cert Kits to use and review. You think I do all this out of the goodness of my heart? :) There are kickbacks, my brother, and I usually extend those to the mods as well.

Hmmm... can't say I'll be picking it up. Although I liked the addition of 20 labs.

If only they had a study IOS.

The video and quick reference manual are sweet although I won't know exactly how much material is covered until I get a hold of the full blown book and actually take the test.

That's probably what's really holding me back here. If I knew the video tutorial was detailed then sure. However I'm not really sold on video tutorials package after watching the CCNP CBT nugget package.

Nice review. I think that WTF should be an optional answer to all certification test questions.

Are the books of the certification guides or the FLGs? Can I haz Mod status?

I haven't done much studying via video and I've only watched a few minutes of these, but I am very impressed.

I don't understand the question.

It's something to aspire to. :)

Glad you liked the video mentor portion. Honestly, I found the TSHOOT video mentor to be a waste of time. He simply covered the TSHOOT book labs on video (his words were verbatim in the book). I might also add that the labs were far too easy.

I'd be interested to know how in depth the video's/material in comparison to the exam itself. I can say that the TSHOOT book was a bit lacking. It should have been more in depth. I spent much more time on cisco documentation than I did reading the book.

Thanks for the review! Are you planning on doing a review of ROUTE and TSHOOT as well?

Sorry, I thought the kit included books. And I was asking if the books were the certification guides or the self-study guides now known as FLGs (Foundation Learning Guides). My bad for the confusion.
