Help, can't connect between logical-system interfaces

Fri Jun 10, 2016 3:46 am

Hello, I'm using junos olive version 12.1 through virtual box to study juniper OS, but when I want to connect 2 logical-system interfaces (lets say em0.0 on LS-R1 and em0.1 on LS.R2) there aren't any "peer-unit" option
Code: Select all
logical-system R1

Code: Select all
set logical-system interface em0.0 "peer unit" ...

I've also checked the routing table which also indicates that these two interfaces haven't connected. The tutorials online seem to always use an "lt" interface instead of an "em" interface, however I don't have an "lt" interface.. does using the "em" interface has anything to do with not having the "peer unit" option? also, is the absence of "lt" interface a lack in the virtual box configuration or perhaps on the junos image?

Thanks in advance, much appreciated..
