 Post subject: Bypass-routing command

Hello,

In my job have to began with JUNIPER. Then when to try to pinging allways fail!! BUt if use the bypass-routing command is SUCCESSFULL. But don't know what is the function of this command.

E.g. -->ping <host> source <interface LAN> bypass-routing

Somebody know what is the significate of bypass-routing command??

(Optional) Bypass the normal routing tables and send ping requests directly to a system on an attached network. If the system is not on a directly attached network, an error is returned. Use this option to ping a local system through an interface that has no route through it.
