I am new to this forum, so please bear with me, in my explanation.
I am working on a project that has over 4300 devices that need to be connected to the network. However, this poses a problem due to time constraints and funds. Due to the magnitude of this client to go and install new network points would take too long, as it would have to go out to tender and blah blah blah.
So, most offices have 1 point, however every office has 2 devices. The devices do not have to access the network at the same time, only one at a time. So my question is, how can I do this the most cost effective way? Can I use ethernet splitters to connect to the one point? and can the devices share a port on the router? Would they have the same IP?

Please help, I am stumped at the moment.

Your headed down a bad road. Yes, cutting corners right now might be easier in the short term but it is going to get messy quickly. Do yourself a favor and set this up the correct way from the get-go. Have a second port ran to each office for both devices and build the network out on the back end to match. or at very least setup a small switch in each office for both devices to connect to.

What are the two devices? If one is a poe device then nope.

If one is a phone the other a computer I see no problem here

But as said, put in extra cabling now. Later you will be glad you did as they ask for more things to go in the offices, which always happens

Use a Hub at each site to connect it all together.
