Well I just got my mail today and I am now using google drive.
From a first glance it looks fine, just the same as all the others.
However when I looked in to pricing for extra storage things start to change quite a bit.

Google drive $4.99/m for 100G
Drop box $19.99/m for 100G
Amazon cloud $100 per year so $8.33/m for 100G

I find the difference in pricing huge, does anyone know if it's going to stay this way or is google doing this as an introductory offer?

Even if it is an introductory offer I think I'll have to take them up on that, although it frigthens me a little because it looks to good to be true

The prices are great but as a personal user, I do not store a huge files on my dropbox, just PDF's, light documents, photos etc (or google drive as I just started using it two days ago). So, 5GB is a lot more than enough for me. Even if I wanted to store big files, the upload speeds would be my main problem.

Anyway, actually I think its normal for google to spend less on storage space than any other company in the world, so I think their service quality will be as good as Dropbox even if the prices are a lot cheaper.

Dropbox the stuff is yours.
Google drive the stuff is yours but google gets to use it.
Not sure about amazon.

I've a feeling they'll all be mining that data no matter what they say. It's to valuable an asset to just sit there.

I agree 100G is a lot but when I take in to account the wifes photos and all the stuff I consider critical it's getting close to 65G.
Plus the fact that I can then access everything I need from anywhere, (firewalls permiting), it sounds like the best deal out there at the moment.
Although I would like to hear from some one who is using their pro service.

I signed up the other day and got my email but haven't started using it. I get 5.8GB free on Dropbox and 25GB free on Skydrive. I just started using Skydrive more because of the 25GB limit, but still have most of my stuff in Dropbox. I have concerns with using Google Drive and will probably never use it since I have other options.
