Hi to all,

I've recently changed my DSL connection to HSPA because of low speed of DSL connection (2000).

Anyway, I need to build up 5 Ghz networking at home but there is no dual band HSPA modem router on the market. I need a router which supports DLNA/UPnP for NAS Server. So, I have couple of solutions...

1- I can purchase dual-band Asus RT-N66U and use HSPA/UMTS stick to use this router as main router. I can do this because RT-N66U supports sticks via USB. Is this a stable solution?

2- I can connect my HSPA modem to a dual-band router via LAN and by changing IP adresses I can use dual-band router again as a main modem router. This can be no problem via WAN but my modem has no WAN connection. Is this possible via LAN?

Or do you have any other solution how I can get my 5 Ghz netwroking at home using HSPA connection. I'll be glad for any helpful answer.

Have a nice day...

First of all, thank you for the answer. Yes, I'm looking for something like this but when I've checked the specifications I've seen that RT-N66U and Fun Center are offering more or less the same. So, this solution must be stable since Asus is not the only one offering USB support for HSDPA sticks...

I've already ordered modem and new stick yesterday. Possibly, I'll become all the parts today. I'll let you all know after I build up the network if it's ok or not.

What data speeds are you getting on Tmobile HSPA+ in the Atlanta area? I know T-mobile recently upgraded the Atlanta area to HSPA+ but I have not seen a increase in speed. I live in Cumming and work in Alpharetta and can't seem to get higher than 900kbs down. I am using a G1 and also tried the speedtest on my friends Moto Cliq. both of these phones are capable of 7mb down. Anybody else in these areas getting higher speeds? Please let me know.
