So I'm in a single story home with the wireless network router on one end of the house. The other end of the house of course has issues connecting due to walls, etc. So a wireless repeater (Cisco) was purchased and is plugged in the wall in the kitchen, approximately 35-40 feet away from the router. One of my computers is located on a wall in a room adjacent to the router and about 30 feet away from the wireless repeater.
Both the wireless repeater and router are using the same channel/SSID. The one computer has random disconnects from internet access when the wireless repeater is plugged in. When it isn't, it works flawlessly. I am guessing that the wireless repeater is causing the one computer to have constantly choose between the two wireless points that are using the same frequency and SSID. However, this also doesn't make sense as the two pieces of hardware have two separate MACs.
My question is... is there a way under Window 7 Home Premium to block certain MAC addresses from being visible to my wireless adapter on the computer?
