Access point as ethernet card

Mon Jan 23, 2012 8:07 am

Hi,

May I use an access point as wireless receiver to have internet on RJ45 interface?
Is possible that internet source for AP to be on antenna, not on RJ45?
Please see attachment.

sure, but not all APs (definitely home models) support that. What kind of AP do you have?

Thank you for response.
I do not have any kind of AP yet. The important thing now is to be functional in this way. Can you suggest me some accessible models?

I'm not sure, but maybe DD-WRT supports this.
