Hello.
Since several months I am faced against a problem: I cannot host multiplayer game servers on my PC.
My ISP stubbornly claims that my IP is public, although no people can connect to my homehosted servers.

From my ISP i got login + password, which I use to connect to the Internet through PPPoE.

ipconfig /all says that my IPv4 address is 192.168.84.94.

When I check my IP on various sites such as whatismyipaddress it shows my proper IP which is 91.225.188.x. (x = hidden octet)
My ISP says that is proof of the IP being public. (?)

I have been hosting game servers on my PC since 2007 until 2011 and it was not a problem until ISP introduced PPPoE.

There is no router and no firewall in the system.

How can I prove them wrong? This problem is truly annoying as I can't host games anymore and it seems that the ISP is in denial...
Please help!
Thanks
NT

*Edit*

Wait, do you have a router? Or is you PC connected directly to the Internet?

Thanks for the reply.

I don't have a router - my ethernet cable is plugged in directly to my ethernet card in the PC.

Yeh they're NATing you somewhere then.

That's exactly what they said once.
Then they changed their mind and went all denial, saying that it's my fault and that the IP is public.

So what should I do? :(

Get a new ISP.

Recently got the same problem. I just called to my ISP and the man told me that they were changing their routers configs from bridge mode to NAT mode, because clients wanted to connect more that one PC to their router(Arris router with 4 LAN ports). I told him I have my own router and I want my public address back because I frequently connect to my PC via Remote Desktop from my office. They just changed the router config and I have a public IP address again.

So, before changing ISP, call them and explain your problem.
