i set up asa 8.4.2 with this guide http://www.xerunetworks.com/2012/02/cis ... omment-423 . i copied asdm 6.4.1 in the asa but when i start asdm console i don't receive gui of asdm. it just stand contacting the device. please wait... and i receive " unable to launch device manager from 10.10.10.1. when i start putty and i start asdm console just it stand "contacting the device. please wait and nothing. why? often the putty blocking after starting and i can't put command inthe asa.
can you help me? thanks

my gns3 is in virtual box. can i use asdm demo?

if windows is installed the demo is an .msi installer

i installed the asdm 6.4.1. i puted asdm-641.bin in asa in gns3 and i started asdm but i can't receive gui asdm, just it's stand up

Are you connecting via https?
Did you enable http server in ASA?
Did you permt http access in the ASA?
Is your connectivity good? (i.e. can you connect via telnet?)

I'm only just learning ASA...so maybe someone else can add/correct/clarify.
p.s. I was having certificate prob with firefox but then cleared cache solved that.
