Haven't used Ubuntu for a while but I am sure it would have a package repo for GNS3

Heres a quick howto:

The software center installed a version of GNS3 that is a little out dated.

The guide Dan mentioned is the one I worked from.

Give this a try from the terminal. I haven't ever had to add unstable repositories to pull it down. (Haven't used GNS3 in awhile though, usually just stick to dynagen)

Code:
sudo aptitude install gns3 dynamips

Snuffleupagus, thanks for the reply. The code u gave me did not work for me, i got a reply saying, '' no such folder...."so i thought of using this code << sudo apt-get install gns3 dynamips >>. and it worked for me. The only problem is that it installed the older version, and I get the pop- up "Please register at least one IOS image. I cant do ahything without the IOS image.
