hello,
I have a problem, I want to open a port for p2p, I have tried many software as -simple port forwarding- but I'm confused, my ip address through (execute, ipconfig ...) is 192.168.1.x but the real ip address is totally different on www.whatismyip.com while to open the port I try both addresses .
I tried the firewall and add rules on ports but nothing was changed
I tried to open it with the router (it COMTREND 5367) and with addition of NAT server but still

Error: Could not I see your xx.xxx.xx.xx service is on port (1000)
Reason: Connection timed out

thank you in advance

This should help with port forwarding your router as the steps required will vary between devices.

Find your router on the page linked below. They generally have step by step pictures which makes life a lot easier :)

192.x.x.x is part of the private address space and is what's used on your local network with your computers.

Your ISP will provide you an IP shown on those sites that is routed on the internet.
