I am not sure if not being experienced, with certifications I can be a good network engineer.
I took CCNA and CCNP Switching without network job.

Ok I know that one with experience is more brave, but how much faster can one without experience but with ccnp reach one with 3 years of experience?

I will hire someone with meaningful experience and little-to-no certifications versus someone with little-to-no meaningful experience and a slew of certifications. Every time.

Why you don't consider potential candidates for being a excellent network engineer in a short time?
Why you also have certifications if them are not so useful?

Thank you

been discussed and beat to death,

neither is more important.

certifications get you the interview,
experience lets you get and keep the job.

This has been discussed and beat to death. Potatoes are used for french fries, while potatoes are used for mashing.

Which ones do you bake? I am getting hungry, but I don't know if I should do a baked potato or a baked potato.

Ok I understand that one that can do it first day i better, but only if you think for one week. In this way you dont consider the universities, excellent students and clever peoples. Thiking fair is better for big companies.

I am actally a strange case. I got a job in networking not knowing a hub from a router. I got no training so I learned to do my job though getting certs... hence getting certs before experience. Most people go the other way though

The only way I see out of my current job is by getting certs, but the question of experience always comes up in interviews and seems to be the most important things given the current market.
