Hi all,

I've recently stumbled on an offer for an ASA5505 on the local Craig's List variant. It's for sale for 200 EUR, negotiable. Since most ASAs on eBay in Europe seem to sell for 300 and more, it seems like a bargain.

Now my question: I've heard that there's a licensing model or something connected to ASAs, and this one doesn't mention one. I don't think the owner knows which licence is inside of it, hence the low price.

Can anybody give me a few hints what to look for, and what not? I have no idea how this licensing thing works. I'm considering the ASA for simple experimentation, perhaps CCNP Security studies in the long run.
