Hey all,

putting in a new design at our office and currently looking at bringing in a backup internet line. i'm just wanting to confirm that the 5510 can handle 2 isp's and if one were to go down all traffic can be routed through the backup link automatically, or should i look at putting in a separate link balancer?

2 wan links, cable and DSL -> asa 5510

or

2 wan links -> link balancer -> asa 5510

for the link balancer i've been looking at barracuda's or elfiq's solutions, but if the asa will handle it all then i can put that $$ elsewhere for the link balancer.

thanks

With an ASA you can use dual ISP links, with SLA monitoring you can monitor your primary connection and if that fails, the traffic is routed to the Backup ISP.
