Certs: None :'(
I'm studying for my ICND1 exam, and I have £30 to spend (that's a lot of money when you've finished college and have no job haha :P )
I was wondering if I should get a Catalyst switch off ebay to practice on, but I'm not sure if this is a waste of money since I already have packet tracer and I'm comfortable using the CLI.

I was also thinking of some practice tests (I know to be careful of braindumps and avoid them), would they be more useful than a practice switch?

I'm okay for books, I wont need any more of them.

Cheers,
-Sam :)

If you are on a budget I would stick with Packettracer. You can find practice labs online as well as this site I believe. They also have some small quizzes (subnetting practice etc) on here for you as well.

You should only really need the book and packet tracer. As mentioned, you can find labs online.

For subnetting, go over appendix G on the CD that comes with the Cisco Press ICND 1 book three or four times after reading the chapter and you should master subnetting.
