can not ping ipv6 address from outside the CS1000V

Fri Oct 19, 2018 3:51 pm

I configured the smply ipv6 address from csr1000v router and another linux machine under same subnet.
linux machine has 2002::1/64 and router interface has 2002::2/64. Simple as that.

From linux machine I can ping the router int (2002::1/64 to 2002::2/64) but not other way around.
Does it ring any bell? Thanks.,

csr1000v:

Code: Select all
ipv6-router#sh ipv6 int brief
GigabitEthernet1       [up/up]
    unassigned
GigabitEthernet2       [up/up]
    FE80::250:56FF:FE95:2A89
    2000::2
GigabitEthernet3       [up/up]
    FE80::250:56FF:FE95:C169
    2001::2
GigabitEthernet4       [up/up]
    unassigned
GigabitEthernet5       [up/up]
    FE80::250:56FF:FE88:DEE
    2002::2
VirtualPortGroup0      [down/down]
    unassigned

ipv6-router#ping 2002::1
Type escape sequence to abort.
Sending 5, 100-byte ICMP Echos to 2002::1, timeout is 2 seconds:
!!!!!
Success rate is 100 percent (5/5), round-trip min/avg/max = 1/1/2 ms
