multiple vlans in same HRSP group

Thu Mar 30, 2017 3:00 pm

I see on our Core switch multiple vlans are configured for the same HSRP group. For instance we have about 15 vlans in the same group. Wouldn't this cause an issue? If so do we know what issue it would cause?

Hi,

This will not cause any issues because they are on different VLANs. They are separated on layer 2, so you can use the same group number on each VLAN without issues.

R.
