Hi all,

quick one, we want to dedicate 2mb to one of our fa ports on our 2960, is this easily done, or can be done on a 2960?

Thanks

Do you need to assign a maximum bandwidth limit of 2Mbps for a port? is that the question?

hard-code the port to 10full and then use srr-bandwidth and limit the port to 20%

Only problem is this is only for the actual port itself. Your uplink is still shared by all

Besides hard-code, you can also use "speed auto 10" under the interface.

FRL-SW-01(config-if)#speed auto 10 ?
100 Include 100 Mbps in auto-negotiation advertisement
