It will be the port connected to switch B right?

EDIT: the link from switch A and C should be 100 Mbps

You're not all all giving a good answer here. There are 3 links connected to Switch B. to which are you referring to? I assume all spanning tree settings are default?

When you tell us which link it is, tell us why you think so

the 1 Gbps port on Switch B since it has a lower mac address than Switch D. Assuming everything is on default state.

You make it sound like you are looking for one designated port. There will be multiple designated ports in the topology.

There are two 1Gb ports on switch D. There are still more designated ports as well.

Here's what I got:

STP.PNG

Determined switch C was root

Wrote the default STP port costs in green

Wrote each switch's cost to root in red and circled their root ports

Determined each link's designated port and circled it in blue. The root bridge's ports are always designated ports. The switch B and switch C link was a little tricky because they have the same cost to root. So I believe the tie breaker is the BID which SW D would be lower.

The remaining ports are blocked.

Added a "logical" diagram of the active STP topology in this state.
