Yes. I mostly use PPP when bonding T1s with service providers.

PPP is only used point to point connections right? Why would you use leased line when you can use VPN?

Because leased lines are dedicated for your use, dedicated in terms of bandwidth, reliable in comparison to VPNs, and predictable in comparison to VPNs.

Also, PPP is very widely used in DSL deployments where it is used on top of ATM or Ethernet.

Mainly PPP I havent personally ran into a situation to ever do any type of Authentication other than having to do it in the PPPoe realm.
