Boot system flash:/ command for switches for multiple boots

Mon Apr 16, 2012 2:44 am

I'm finding some odd information from Cisco pages and non-Cisco pages also. What is the correct syntax for specifying boot images on a flash:/ of a switch? The differences is if you need the "/" or not as well as after the ";" fo you need to specify flash:/ again. For example,

Code: Select all
flash:/c2960s-universalk9-mz.122-55.SE4.bin;flash:/c2960s-universalk9-mz.122-53.SE2.bin

or
Code: Select all
flash:/c2960s-universalk9-mz.122-55.SE4.bin;c2960s-universalk9-mz.122-53.SE2.bin

or
Code: Select all
flash:c2960s-universalk9-mz.122-55.SE4.bin;c2960s-universalk9-mz.122-53.SE2.bin

Should all variants work?
Meanwhile, back in the city...

This is off the top of my head, but if it accepts it in those forms it should work.

It accepts anything you type in. I usually include "/" , but afaik it works without as well
