I also miss the quick reply and being able to directly quote someone without having to click post a comment and then finding the post i want to quote. Too many extra steps.

I do appreciate that you guys are open for feedback, hopefully we can get some of these things ironed out.

Still trying to figure out how to subscribe to posts. . .luckily it's still the same on Tapatalk so I'll just use the site that way for now.

I do like the scroll down code windows, saves me lots of mouse action when I want to bypass the configs.

It looks very nice so far and I appreciate the effort you have put in for our sake.

Is there any way we can get the Post reply and Quote buttons back? It makes it much faster and easier to post a reply or reference something someone else said.

you guys are awesome.

many suggestions are being worked on right now (both returning missing things & design fixes) and we'll keep adding to the list until it's back in a happy place.

thanks for the patience & suggestions!

Below each post there use to be a reply and quote button that isn't showing up for me anymore, so instead of scrolling all the way down to the bottem of the page to reply (which was also nice) I could just hit the reply or quote button below each post.

Was the actual reason for the change ever mentioned? I've held in my bitching for a while and gave it a fair shot... it's ugly and I agree hard on the eyes. There's a reason most of us change our console output to a black background with green/orange/whatever font... :P

I think it's pretty but functionally inferior... very Apple esque look but too many white spaces and features missing.

The gray on white color scheme is a double-edged sword. It gives the site an attractive metallic look, but it's terrible on the eyes while reading...and greater than 50% of what you do on a forum is read.

Assuming you're reading and analyzing posts multiple times to absorb all the details before compiling a response, and writing and revising a response multiple times for accuracy, then all that translates to a LOT of staring at very faint text and almost transparent borders, etc while your eyes get pummeled by the color scheme. There's a reason why technical blogs, vendor KB articles, docs, etc stick with the boring and traditional, but functional black on white...and why (as Steven said) most of us change our console output to something with high contrast.

I acknowledge that new owners == new vision and direction, but hope functionality, usability, and readability isn't compromised in the process. Thanks for considering.

There used to be a breadcrumb trail at the bottom of the page as well as the top. Now at the bottom it only takes you back to the "parent" area of where you were.

Top example:
Board index > General > Announcements > New Design Released!

Bottom example:
< RETURN TO ANNOUNCEMENTS

Also now page numbers are missing on the thread page, so you need to click on the thread, then navigate to the desired page, whereas before the page numbers were there before entering the thread.

Also marking all topics as read from the Board Index would be nice.

Request, in certifications, please delete the two CCNA subforums above OR remodel the forum entirely into the 3 levels / sub disciplines (CCNA, CCNP, CCIE, etc.)

The two CCNA subforums are practically dead.

I miss the "View my posts" button
I could easily see if someone replied to my posts.

not sure if new functionality has replaced that though..

This is a bit of a step backwards in design isn't it?

If it was fixed with and small margins/text I'd understand but I feel like the volume of spaced isn't balanced.

On the up side though it's nice to see the site get a facelift. Change is as good as a holiday.
