Replying to SPAM

Fri Jun 21, 2013 6:59 pm

Please don't do it. It makes moderation harder.

I feel like this thread needs a reply in it.

Fixed.

:)

I like to moderate with Tapatalk because it allows you to, in one fell swoop, ban and delete all posts by user. But if folks have posted in the thread those posts will remain for manual clean up.

I've done it a few times in the past for shits n giggles, didn't know it made moderation harder so apologies for that, won't be doing it in the future.

Didn't know that, thanks for informing us. I know I have done it in the past but won't anymore.

Most email spam is from a spoofed return address, so it's likely your reply will not reach the original sender anyway. Also, avoid replying to txt/sms spam, as your response can be used to validate your digits as legit and you go on the "confirmed live human $$$" list.
