Data Center maintenance

Thu Aug 02, 2012 10:55 am

My hosting provider will be doing maintenance this weekend. The window is 8/4/2012 11PM EDT - 5AM EDT though the actual amount of downtime will be 5-10 minutes. I will be shutting down the forum before that time to reduce the risk of database corruption due to a hard power off. Assuming everything goes OK, I will be turning the forum back up when I get up Sunday morning.

If withdrawal symptoms occur, go outside or try kissing a girl.

Yes yes my plans are almost complete

Once they realise the forums are back it will already be too late

Let me guess you spilled a beer on your tower server and need to move it to the other wall in your computer room at home so you can clean up the carpet underneath? :)

I don't understand.

Alyssa just started shouting at me and the other girl didn't know what was going on.

I was about 5 minutes late to shut the site down and they already had us offline. I guess everything went fine because were back online now. :)
