Clean is also a way of saying organised, as in clean lines.

I took "clean" to be another way of saying "neat and tidy". E.g. if someone says "look at those clean lines".

Hey OP where are you from? I can see your point :)

Sometimes being English doesn't even help when communicating with words that have many meanings!

And what if you're not a native English speaker? I'm not and sometimes it is really hard to understand you guys. But I do my best, I take a lot of courses, read many books, etc. Currently I'm using online English application (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8o1JEPce0es)

I wish I were a native English speaker :(

so what's your native language?
English can be very challenging even for native English speakers.
we'll I should say American English. to speak of first hand.

This was the point I was making... Sometimes even English people get confused. Imaging when the girlfriend and you are having a domestic...

I'm English but currently living in Australia.. I now know a good number of differences with the Australian English... I have a good number of friends in America, same thing there.

I'm not so good with languages. I would like to fluently speak all of them. Kids that are brought up with parents who speak different languages are gifted from birth. I know someone who lives in Spain, mother is English (how I know her), father is Italian. The girl can speak at least English, Italian and Spanish fluently.

Ristau, your signatures are always worth reading. If I were to ever get a tattoo it would be that quote right there.

I think neither of us knows what the other is talking about.

Thankfully South African English is closer to British English than any other English. Though we all grew up with American and British movies so it's not at all difficult to work out who's saying what

Australian English means any long word, shorten it and add an O at the end..

Documentation becomes Doco
Bottle shop becomes Bottle-o

and so on..

Thought you would have chucked in a few comments about how British people talk funny?

Also, I'm going back to England in about 3 weeks for good. We need to go for drinks or something before that happens!!!
