Buddy just sent me this and it's the same model I just bought a few weeks ago. Crucial 128GB for $80. I almost ordered another one but don't need to spend the money right now.

Anyone used this brand for SSDs before? Wondering how good they are.

I bought the exact same model from newegg about a month ago and love it. Haven't had any problems with it other than paying $130 for it. Really wish I had it in the budget to buy another one.

Never used that one but I have an Intel of the same size. It's collecting dust right now, it was too small for all my junk. Fast though. Work is starting to see the benefit of putting them in our laptops so I'm hoping to get a good sized one soon :)

My Corsair Force 3 died after 6 months - was not even recognised in the laptop any more. I'm a little weary of them since when they die, how do you get the data erased from them? Although I have the Force 3 warranty replacement already waiting for me at home in England - it'll be going into my Desktop build. I wont stop using them, just be careful I suppose.

I think as long as you stay away from OCZ you're good

I never stored anything of value on an ssd as I had one fail and report only 8mb in size :-(

Oddly it was the games drive so i can only guess that constant game updates killed it. Switched back to mechanical though now as cheaper for the capacity and never really saw the speed benefit.

I still have one laying around on my desk, they make great paper weights :-)

But I would recommend them still to people. I would usually say crucial drives though as they seem to get good reviews

I don't keep any data on mine. Just OS and programs. All data is on another drive. I guess if you use a laptop then you need to do regular backups, or use something like Mozy that does automatic backups to the cloud. I use Skydrive and Dropbox a lot too, so most important data goes in those folders so I can access it from multiple locations.
