I meant to post back here last year when I bought a really sweet, cheap desk from IKEA for my Uni studies. I spent about £120 roughly on a desk and separate chair that is big enough to work on, and small enough to squeeze in my room at my parents. The desk is a bit modern (art deco??) and has pull out draws for books, pens paper etc. The large cupboard had a shelve but I kept an unused Xbox 360 in there.

Here is the desk http://www.ikea.com/gb/en/catalog/products/40180037/

It's very sturdy and held together with very large bolts. Unlike other desks I've had that seem to fall apart and go wobbly after a short while! This one was as good as it was from day 1.

Forgot to say, there is space for a 6-gang extension and all cables in a tray underneath, and a hole for the cables to run in.

Next, a little office decor, maybe some posters made up at Kinko's of this guys work framed on the wall, maybe one of these.. Then try and figure out how to get this thing in the den... Besides Stretch's posters, what nerd stuff do you guys have on your walls?

Thanks for the links! I know several people at work that will dig the Windows posters. I like the Cisco Connected arch. poster. Might have to purchase one and get it printed up. Problem is my office at work doesn't have much wall so something else would have to go. As for home, our office is the only room that has not been fully setup after the move in December :( Id love to get the time to set it up properly but that just doesn't happen anymore.

My desk setup

Office gets so warm in the summer with everything running, I had to install a air condition unit on the back wall to keep it cool in here. Yeah Yeah, its messy, I normally have it much cleaner, but have not got around to it. Maybe I can have Scottsee come over and show me how its done!!

I'm exactly the same. I hate clutter so much. I'll have a clutter drawer, though. Then every year I'll empty it and shred stuff and throw stuff out.

The Vig... :D

Next time I'm over (probably towards the end of the year again) do you guys want to do the Vig one mid morning? The girls love this place, and another place (don't know where, but near a huge mountain that looks like something...) that does a build your own bloody mary bar.

Just do it. I don't see why women want to keep everything?? Even down to the point where you buy a new TV and they want the box it come in to be stored somewhere... ???
