Whats everyone up to?

Im getting settled into the new house and spending the majority of my time unpacking. Hopefully Ill get my server and lab setup this weekend. Soon I will also need to re-run all the cat5e as the previous owner did a pretty poor job or it.

Wife has her baby shower saturday so I am with my daughter all day. Hopfully this weekend I will get some time to smoke a cigar or two and dirnk a little scotch.

I dont see any time for study in sight. maybe next week work will die down some to get that going. I love MPLS but Im getting itchy to be done with it to move on to the R&S written.

Have a good weekend all!!

Studying for CCDP, gun show and lunch with friends for tomorrow, taking the mums out for lunch for her birthday on Sunday. Somewhere in there I need to pack for Xmas vacation up to Indiana starting next week.

Edit: Also throughout the weekend I will be learning how to die multiple different ways in BF3. Should be fun.

I'm going to try and relax as much as possible with my Jack Daniel's. And maybe an ugly sweater party with the new gf if she has her way. Hopefully get some route study in.
We have had so many upgrades going on at work that it has been hard to keep up with studying and go to college on the side. Next week we finally get to retire two of our ancient 12008's and put 7600's in their place as well as two new 10G circuits. Plus DNS cutover on Monday. Way too much going on right before a holiday break.

Watching my kids, Skyrim when I can.

I told myself I'd start on CCNP once I finish that game.

Dog sitting today/tomorrow. Then I got a night to my self as my fiancee is out with my sister for their "company xmas party". They have their own company so it's just them, and their 2 employees going out for dinner. I might dog sit for my sister while they're out. Study where I can.

Kids keep getting younger every year... I remember the good old days, people were decent and respectful... Now it's all hotpants and Lady GaGa...

Trying to get my movie room setup. Got all the parts in. Now just have to get it all installed. Finished finals Tuesday so this is my first non-school study weekend in a long time. May look at my CCDA books.

With no wife or kids, it's substantially easier for some of us.

Severely reducing my business hours (side-company i built for pc repair and such)
Put up my blog (wife is on a kick about web-advertising for more income.. w/e guess i'll do it v_v)
Finish some programming projects (again, wife thinks in-app advertising will produce some more income for us)
Try to study for CCNA (probably not going to happen)

Yeah since my first daughter was born 2 years back I have not been able to set any time aside on weekend and my weeknights I only get about 1.5 hours. The majority of my study time has to be done at work. I always try to set aside at least an hour a day but that dosent always happen. over the past few months with projects deploying its been none though :(

WORK WORK WORK

moving the data center from the old network core to the new network core,

re-homeing a bunch of switches, running lots of fiber, to the new 6500
fixing native VLANs, trunks, etc.
migrating old FWSM to new FWSM,
moving all the SVIs from the old 6500 to the new 6500.
configuring MSTP in the data center.

it'll be a busy night tomorrow.

Pictures or it never happened.

Hoping to hang out with a buddy tonight. Found an old 501 we might try to break into while intoxicated. Finish up Christmas shopping. Church has a Christmas program that the kid is going to sign in on Sunday. I'm just trying to not start anything or for anything to break today

Fiancee has a party to go to tonight and tomorrow night so I'll have a little free time to myself. Some BF3, maybe a cigar and some bourbon tonight as well.

Would like to hit up the gun show tomorrow. Need to look at getting materials to build some shelves in the garage but might put that off. Will study some and watch some football. Texans finally clinched the division last week. W00t w00t!
