Pretty clean. What are those huge printouts you have stacked up?

This is my work VoIP lab.
I am using a 2811 with PVDM, FXO, and FXS cards. FXO is connected to the ATA that is connected to the production LAN to serve as my "dial backup". I have an analog phone there to test my FXS ports. It is running as an SRST Router with multicast MoH currently playing some fun music since it is only multicast within the lab. Not a lot to it since I have a full CUCM and unity Voicemail server at my disposal and I am not working on anything crazy at the moment.

In fact, I think my home lab is more elaborate though, not as pretty.

Since I took this picture my little 12U Rack is now completely full of 3560s and 2811s (also my storage for those models).

Hello there,

I'm new to this forum. I thought I'd post my rack on here for everyone to see.

Thanks!

I'll try to get some more pics of the stuff we have at the lab... (if it's allowed).

Naughty, naughty... Photography in classified environment violates the AUP you sign.... :-P

Nah - pretty sure the AUP didn't mention photography, and I checked the place out thoroughly for any signs stating anything remotely close to photography being prohibited. Thanks though. :P

Still... I resist the urge to take pictures of the entire lab since I'm not 100% sure.

Out of curiosity; how does a lab qualify as "classified"?

Knowing what brand and model of hardware an entity uses would help an attacker.

Yeah, sure, I'd understand that argument in a production environment. But in a lab environment?

Lab environments usually reflect what's in production.

Either way, no need to continue the discussion. I've had the post removed.

Which is basically the same or worse than the principle of security through obscurity. System security should not depend on the secrecy of the implementation or its components, but on principle of proper design. I can understand non-technical, pointy-hat type to not get that but as technical people we should know better.

Security shouldn't depend upon obscurity, but it doesn't need to preclude it.

 your challenge is to ring out "jingle bells" on your phones, setting one note played as the ringer per phone, record and upload.

maybe that's not clear--- didn't read right,
so the top right phone plays A note
next one down B notes
third one C notes
etc...

Nice - how do you guys find the time for this stuff? Do you have wife/kids? If so, how do you work out a deal with the wife? :P

Nice labs. One day I will get mine cleaned up enough to take a photo.

Marry a geek? My wife has been bugging me for a couple weeks to get a voice lab in the house. For some reason at her company the systems team is taking over the VoIP system so she wants to learn it. I am not interested in learning voice so I wrangled getting two 5505s in the deal so I can do security track. This will be our xmas gifts for each other.

I don't have much time for this, butI do have a 7 day weekend this weekend. As for wife, I have one(married 2 months now) and an 11 month old energetic little boy. My wife found out that my VM box is also a great rig to play the sims on, so now I have to find something else to host CUCM on while she visits me in the dungeon.
