Argh, I thought this was for real football (not American Football)

I posted about this last year for fantasy football (soccer) but no-one seemed interested :/

We play for money at work. Top guy netted £400 (the bastard)

I'm out then if it's for money. I understand your concerns but I play in at least 1 free league a year and I always take it seriously. I like to win. Saying that, I won the only league I was in last year with about 8 teams.

American football = real football duh!

On a serious note though, how the hell does fantasy soccer work? They score like one or two goals a game and I can't think of a way to track yards or carries or something like that.

It doesn't have to be for money. I just placed my vote. :) I'll play regardless.

You mean the game where you play with your hands? :P

You get points for goals, assists, performance, saves, clean sheets and so on. There are tons of points for all kinds of things :)

I agree, football probably wasnt the best name for the sport... But, american football by far is more entertaining! Sorry to anyone outside of the US :)

@mellowd,

Looks like you have to stretch pretty far to get some fantasy points generated in soccer.

Ok guys, league is set up. http://football.fantasysports.yahoo.com/league/networking_forum2010
If that link fails try this one http://football.fantasysports.yahoo.com/f1/register/tos?league_id=250132

I'm going to PM whoever has already posted that they are interested the password for the league. Whoever else wants in PM me, or just post in the thread.
For the guys/gals joining, be sure and check the Scoring&Settings page to see if everything looks OK to you. We can all work together to get it tweaked and make everybody happy. Oh yeah, I set the draft for Sat Aug 28 3:00pm EDT. This can be changed prior to the draft day if need be.
