COMPASS is the Cisco On-line Maintenance Procedures and Support System. It includes instructions for remedial and upgrade service procedures on Cisco equipment. COMPASS is intended for use by persons maintaining Cisco equipment — including Field Engineers dispatched by the Technical Assitance Center (TAC) organization to customer sites, customers, and their agents — allowing them to independently service Cisco equipment.
