Hi, I'm very new to networking, been taking some classes at a community college just to get into it, but otherwise completely lost in the whole thing; job titles and responsibilities of a networking administrator. I'd like to get some info on it and start learning so that i can take the CCENT and so on...

I have difficulties learning on my own, but there is soo much to learn and soo much material online that it would be very silly of me not to even attempt some studying on my own. Does anyone have any recommendations on sites or even tips for long hours of studying? Thanks, I appreciate it very much.

Hi Lybarra37 welcome to the forum. The CCENT is a good place to start if you're getting into networking.

Some forum members have put together 4 pages of CCNA questions which will help your studies so be sure to check it out.

Oh and a page to practice subnetting.

I took 2 months of casual studying (then 2 weeks of hardcore studying) before taking my CCENT and barely passing. Make sure to use multiple sources to study from so you get a better understanding. I picked up the CBT nuggets for my icnd 2 test so I have other views on the material.
